Louise Allaway - Iona Soaps~
Louise is married with three children. She has lived on Iona since March 1999 and worked at the Argyll Hotel until the start of the 2008 season. She is now to be found up the road at the St Columba Hotel. Louise has always had an interest in beauty and cosmetics and was given a home-made soap as a present which inspired her to think 'I can do that'. She has been making soaps ever since.

Each hand cut bar (approximately 110g per bar) has been labelled with its ingredients and minimum weight. All Louise's soaps are made using the 'melt and pour' method, using the best quality glycerine soap base, cosmetic grade fragrances and colours and as many natural ingredients as possible. Many of the soaps and some of the candles use pure essential oils, which have recognised health benefits.The advice of a health professional should be taken prior to the use of essential oils if you have a known medical condition.

People buying Louise's soaps and candles do so both for their own use and to give as presents. Whoever the recipients are, she hopes they get pleasure from using Iona Soaps' products.
